Dr. Michael A. Sheety
Dr. Michael A. Sheety is the Medical Director at the Sierra Eye & Laser Institute. A board-certified diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he is sub-specialty trained in cornea and refractive laser surgery and cosmetic & reconstructive oculoplastics. Thousands of patients -- including professional athletes, physicians and public officials -- have looked to Dr. Sheety for their vision correction and facial cosmetics needs.
After earning his medical degree from the University of California-Irvine College of Medicine, Dr. Sheety completed his ophthalmology residency at the Loma Linda University Medical Center. In his pursuit of excellence, Dr. Sheety engaged in further sub-specialty training at the University of South Florida.
Having served as an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida, Dr. Sheety has had experience with numerous laser platforms and has routinely demonstrated superior outcomes with numerous refractive approaches including LASIK, PRK, PTK, refractive lensectomy, and corneal transplantation. His background as well as his clinical skills have afforded him the opportunity to be a featured speaker at various venues throughout the United States. Dr. Sheety is also credited with having trained some of the country's most successful laser vision correction surgeons and often serves as a consultant for other eye specialists with regards to the management of complicated corneal pathology.
Dr. Sheety's specialized talent in the area of cosmetic facial surgery has permitted him to develop an exclusive clientele including various famous celebrities in the entertainment and sports industries. Recently, Allergan Pharmaceuticals' Botox® Physician Network acknowledged Dr. Sheety for his work in the area of anti-aging therapy. His efforts in the area of facial rejuvenation therapies have resulted in the creation of a revolutionary anti-aging cream available only at the Sierra Eye & Laser Institute.
In addition to caring for his patients' cosmetic and vision correction needs, Dr. Sheety continues to conduct extensive research and published articles on various topics in the areas of laser vision correction and ocular surface disease. Aside from his professional interests, Dr. Sheety enjoys practicing the sport of Judo and tending to his canine English Mastiff, Kobe.

Dr. Andrew Pilon
Dr. Andrew Pilon received his Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry and completed a primary care/ocular disease residency at the Illinois Eye Institute. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Pilon assumed clinical and didactic duties as an instructor at the Illinois Eye Institute in the areas of primary care optometry and advanced ophthalmic disease management. Dr. Pilon is a member of the American Optometric Association and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
He has been an invited speaker at several functions throughout the Midwest & Pacific regions in the areas of ocular disease diagnosis and management. Dr. Pilon has published several articles that highlight his interest in the area of posterior segment diseases of the retina and vitreous and neuro-ophthalmic disorders. Dr. Pilon's humanitarian interests have permitted him to work closely with members of the pharmaceutical industry to provide glaucoma screenings for indigent populations in urban America.

Dr. Valerie Pilon
Dr. Valerie Pilon received her Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry. She has extensive experience in the private sector and currently serves as the laser center coordinator for the Sierra Eye & Laser Institute.
